Ukrainian Azerbaijanis team up with UNICEF to send humanitarian aid to war-hit Ukrainians PHOTO
The Azerbaijanis of Ukraine have organised the next major humanitarian campaign aimed at helping the war-hit citizens of the country.
A new batch of humanitarian aid weighing 20 tonnes provided by the UNICEF with the assistance of Anar Akhundov, Chairman of the Council of Ethnic Peoples of the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine, was delivered to orphanages, and children's hospitals, and residents located in frontline areas, according to Report.
The humanitarian aid package includes medicines, children's clothing, and food, as well as drinking water aimed at mitigating the shortage of the water in the region due to the destruction of the supply system following the shelling by the Russian Armed Forces.
UNICEF assistance to the Mykolaiv region was provided at the request of Akhundov.
