Lukashenko: Trump speaks his mind and shows real US intentions
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said he values the direct communication style of Donald Trump, arguing that it reveals the true intentions and policies of the United States leadership.
Speaking to journalists, in remarks reported by BelTA, Lukashenko stated: “I like Trump because he says what he thinks. I like this approach. Because we can see the real policy and goals of the American leadership. And we see who the Americans are. I like that.”
He described Trump as “an actor in a good sense,” while also portraying him as a businessman, journalist, economist, and “a little bit of a politician.”
The Belarusian leader stressed that he himself speaks openly when he disagrees with US policy, pointing to current developments as examples. “The war in Iran, Venezuela — they captured [President Nicolas] Maduro,” he said.
Lukashenko further argued that the US president is operating under significant internal pressure. According to him, this includes influence from the military and potentially other forces within the country. “And perhaps from some kind of deep state. Even Americans are talking about this,” he added.
