Lukashenko says he offered US plan to end Iran war
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he has presented the United States with his own proposal for ending the war in Iran, while declining to disclose details publicly.
“I proposed my vision of how to end the war in Iran. The way I see it. I do not want to discuss it publicly. I offered them another option,” Lukashenko said, according to BelTA.
His remarks followed a meeting on March 19 with US Special Envoy to Belarus John Cole. The latest round of Belarusian-American talks was held at the Palace of Independence in Minsk.
The discussions are part of an ongoing dialogue between Minsk and Washington. A previous round of talks took place in Minsk in December 2025.
Earlier, on March 13, Lukashenko told journalists during a visit to the Dribin district that bilateral relations between Belarus and the United States remain at the centre of the agenda in contacts between the two sides.
