Zelensky explains why he recalled ambassador from Georgia
President Vladimir Zelensky has explained his current relationship with the Georgian authorities and his personal attitude towards Georgia.
According to the correspondent of "Evropeyskaya Pravda" he stated this at the press conference in Kyiv.
Answering a question of the Georgian TV channel Imedi about the possibility of the return of the recalled Ukrainian ambassador to Tbilisi, he made it clear that this would not happen without a radical change in the actions of the Georgian authorities, which now, in his opinion, do not demonstrate a friendly attitude towards Ukraine.
"We will definitely return the ambassador to Georgia as soon as we feel the friendship from the leaders of your state," the president said.
"I don't understand why they don't impose sanctions. What economy? They (Russians) have already taken away part of your territories, almost reached Tbilisi," Zelensky explained.
"I don't understand the position of your state leaders. What they are going for is not worth it. The non-imposition of sanctions is nothing, it is not worth the current tension," he said.
