Powerful blast rocks apartment building in Netherlands, explosives found

A powerful explosion occurred near an apartment building in Utrecht, the Netherlands, causing significant damage to the building’s facade but leaving no one injured.

The incident took place in the Transwijk-Noord district. Police said the blast caused substantial damage to the front of the residential building.

According to Dutch media reports, a loud explosion was heard near the building’s central staircase, triggering fire alarms in several sections of the property.

Police officers who arrived at the scene subsequently discovered additional explosives in the area. The street was cordoned off, and bomb disposal specialists were called in to neutralize the devices.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
