Analytical Centre: West eyes to make peace between Armenia, Azerbaijan soon
Director of the Armenian Hayatsk Analytical Centre Anna Karapetyan has said that the West is promoting a policy of ousting Russia from the South Caucasus.
“The West is doing its best for Armenia to make out as soon as possible that it has no problems with Azerbaijan and Türkiye. If there are no problems with Azerbaijan and Türkiye, therefore, the need for the direct presence of Russia in the region, a Russian military base or peacekeepers in Karabakh is reduced or nullified,” Karapetyan said during the “Special Opinion” show, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.
“In this context, the details do not matter. The same refers to the corridor, it does not matter whether it will be or will not be. The West is not interested in demarcation and delimitation. The main thing is to reach a peace treaty as soon as possible, in which it will be outlined that there is no conflict, therefore, there is no need for Russia,” Karapetyan said.
