Kazakh president announces Senate election date

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree "On the appointment of elections to the Senate (upper house) of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 14, 2023," the press service of the Kazakh leader said.
"In connection with the expiration of the constitutional term of office of members of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023, I resolve to appoint elections to the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 14, 2023," the press service of Tokayev said, Anadolu Agency reports.
On November 26, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took the oath and assumed the office of the head of state.
