Azerbaijani Central Election Commission approves date for snap presidential election

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has set extraordinary presidential elections in Azerbaijan for February 7, 2024.

CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov made the relevant remarks at the December 8 meeting of the structure he heads, Report reports.

According to the decision, the extraordinary presidential election is scheduled for February 7 next year.

The decision comes into force from the day of its publication.

On December 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on holding extraordinary presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
