Azerbaijani envoy discusses strengthening relations with Latvia

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Latvia Narmina Mustafayeva has met with Latvia’s Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andžejs Viļumsons to discuss strengthening relations between the two countries.

The Latvian Foreign Ministry said in a post on X that officials highly valued the positive momentum in bilateral relations, including the recent visit of Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

“The officials commended the active momentum in bilateral relations, including the recent visit of President Edgars Rinkēvičs to Azerbaijan, and discussed opportunities to further strengthen political dialogue and economic cooperation, including by fostering business contacts,” the statement noted.

Earlier, Narmina Mustafayeva handed over copies of her credentials to Zane Ventere, Acting Head of the Latvian Foreign Ministry’s State Protocol Department.
