Armenian ammunition caches have been discovered in Gozlukörpu and Chalyakdar villages of Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az that in particular, 9 F-1 hand grenades with fuses were found in Gozlukorpu, while 16 F-1 hand grenades, 2 fuses for them, two M-75 hand grenades, 4 ammunition magazines for Kalashnikov rifle, etc were discovered in Chyalyakdar village.

Meanwhile, during an inspection in Umudlu village of Azerbaijan’s Aghdara district, the officers of the Tartar district police department together with servicemen of the Internal Troops found a cache of Armenian weapons.

According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs, three machine guns, a grenade launcher and a Kalashnikov assault rifle were found and seized.

Following a 44-day Second Karabakh War, Azerbaijan emerged victorious, reclaiming control over significant portions of its territory that had been under Armenian occupation for nearly three decades.

The liberation of these territories, including the strategic cities of Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Zangilan, and Shusha, has been met with jubilation and pride across the nation. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev hailed the victory as a triumph of justice and a testament to the bravery and resilience of the Azerbaijani people.

In a series of military operations characterized by strategic precision and determination, Azerbaijani forces successfully ousted Armenian troops from key positions, restoring sovereignty over areas that had been subject to occupation since the early 1990s.

On September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan initiated a series of counter-terrorism measures to neutralize Armenian military forces and infrastructure in the Karabakh region. The decision to launch this operation was prompted by escalating Armenian assaults on Azerbaijani positions, as well as a tragic mine incident in the Khojavand district that resulted in the deaths of four Azerbaijani police officers and two road construction workers.

By the time the hostilities ceased on September 20, the Azerbaijani military had successfully incapacitated artillery systems, radio-electronic warfare capabilities, military equipment, ammunition depots, military strongholds, and shelters belonging to Armenian army units stationed in the Karabakh region.

The counter-terrorism measures concluded after the Armenian military formations agreed to full disarmament by laying down arms, handing over the military hardware, and withdrawing from their battle positions and military outposts. Armenia's armed forces were also obligated to leave Azerbaijani territory, and illegal Armenian armed groups were to be disbanded.
