Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs explore regional cooperation, security
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has met with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on the margins of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The discussion took place in Shusha during the informal summit of the heads of OTS member states, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry made a post on its official X account, Caliber.Az reports.
The FMs addressed a range of topics pertinent to both nations. Central to their conversation was the deep-rooted Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance, which is founded on brotherhood, mutual support, and solidarity.
Bayramov and Fidan explored avenues for enhancing regional and international cooperation within various organizations and formats. They also discussed topical challenges and global security issues.
The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Turkic-speaking world, emphasizing the need to capitalize on opportunities in sectors such as economy, trade, investment, energy security, transport, communications, and combating climate change.
The talks also covered regional post-conflict reconstruction and peace efforts, specifically focusing on the current state of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
