Armenia displeased with influx of Russians, Indians

The number of Russian immigrants in Armenia has increased, and after some time they will form a community, social activity can manifest political activity in Armenia, Business Expert Narek Aleksanyan told Alpha News live.

"It is unclear when they will feel active in Armenia and when they will be able to show political activity here," the expert said and added that "just two weeks after they were in Yerevan, they organised a gathering in Hrazdan Gorge, Caliber.Az reports.

“This means that they are socially active, but it is still unclear when this social activity will turn into political activity. But I must assure you that it will because they care about the environment in which they live now," he added.

According to Aleksanyan, besides Russia, people from other countries, such as India, also enter Armenia, and no one counts how many people come from there.

"This community will also present its demands after some time. It turns out that in three, five or seven years the situation in Armenia will change, the question will be how important the Armenian factor will be in our election cycles because the factor of this or that community must be taken into account. For that purpose, we should make a clear analysis of the situation. It is necessary to create such conditions so that there is no emigration," the expert concluded.
