Armenia’s provocation with humanitarian aid in corpse refrigerators Game over!
"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never in nothing, great or small, large or petty — never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." The author of these statements is Sir Winston Churchill. And I recalled them for a reason.
Azerbaijan has never given in. Our country has never been inferior, either in large or small ways, to Armenia, to the world Armenian community, to the biased politicians fed by them, public figures, and journalists from various countries of the world. It did not give up because common sense was at stake in the form of an obvious attempt to legalise the occupation of our lands by Armenia, contrary to the norms of international law and UN resolutions.
It didn't give up because the honour of our ancestors, contemporaries, and descendants was at stake. The memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the First Karabakh War was at stake. The very future of Azerbaijan was at stake. Hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons grew up unable to walk on the land where their parents, grandparents were born. We couldn't afford to give up for their sake either.
As a result, Azerbaijan won a great victory in the 44-day war. We have regained Shusha, Lachin, Kalbajar, Fuzuli, and our other lands. We got it back thanks to the balanced policy of President Ilham Aliyev, the heroism and courage of our army, and the unity of our people.
We won against the plans of Armenia, the world Armenians, and their patrons from all over the world, including the leading states of the world. We still haven't fully realized the real price, the weight of this victory. But all of us, regardless of age, gender, social status, or political views, are united in one thing - no one, ever, in any way will be able to take away from us the fruits of Victory, in the name of which thousands of martyrs gave their lives during the 44-day war.
My point is that any attempts by the Armenian side to influence the course of history, a completely new geopolitical situation in the region through provocations, and attempts to question our victory are in vain. And they are dangerous for the Armenian side itself. And now we see how the Armenian side, without the consent of Baku, sends a car convoy under the guise of "humanitarian cargo" in an attempt to break into the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan.
By the way, an interesting notice. "The "humanitarian aid" has come in Spajka refrigerated trucks. The same ones where, after the 44-day war, the Armenians hid the corpses of their soldiers for several months, wishing to conceal the real number of dead on their side.
An attempt to break into the territory of our country under the guise of "humanitarian cargo" is an encroachment on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The European Union mission in Armenia, headed by Markus Ritter himself, and the diplomatic corps also took part in the aforementioned provocation, demonstrating that this was a pre-planned step and proving loyalty to the notorious policy of double standards.
For some reason, we have not seen Europeans suddenly worried now in Armenia when it occupied Azerbaijani lands for almost three decades. We have not seen any real political and economic pressure exerted on Armenia even after it blatantly ignored UN resolutions. No sanctions have been imposed against Armenia, and this is an argument proving the absurdity and even immorality of attempts to put pressure on our country.
Azerbaijan has stated that the Aghdam-Khankandi road can be used to transport goods to the areas Russian peacekeepers are temporarily accommodated in. This proposal by our country was approved by the Chairman of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel. It turns out that those representatives of the European Union who took part in the next Armenian do not care a dime about his position.
It is also important to add that, given the technical characteristics of the road, especially after the restoration of the Barda-Aghdam road after the occupation, which allows goods to be delivered faster and more efficiently, there are no reasonable, logical, objective reasons to refuse to use it. But we see that there is an attempt to arrange another show that leads our people not to peace at all, but to a new war.
And all those foreign politicians who are trying to put pressure on our country, in fact, are bringing not peace, but war. They encourage Armenian separatism and aggression, show disrespect for our territorial integrity, refusing to understand how high a price we have already paid to achieve the implementation of UN resolutions that Armenia ignored. And most importantly, they don't understand that we will never give up. Neither big nor small. The Armenians should bear this in mind. After all, as Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said today at a meeting with the ambassadors of the EU, Türkiye, the US, and Switzerland, "the game is over"…
P.S. A while ago Pashinyan wrote a plaintive tweet about the stuck "360 tonnes of humanitarian cargo" and the "humanitarian situation", to which he immediately received a reasoned response from the Azerbaijani President’s Assistant, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev: "As agreed in Brussels, the Aghdam-Khankandi road is fully suitable for the delivery of all types of cargo. But not allowing the use of this road, using local residents as hostages/organizing an imitation of cargo delivery is nothing but speculation, manipulation, and blackmail."
