Azerbaijan grants Ukraine extra cargo transport permits
Ukrainian carriers will gain broader opportunities to operate abroad after Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina issued additional permits for international freight transport, said Serhiy Derkach, the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development.
In a post on his Facebook account, Derkach emphasised that Azerbaijan has provided Ukraine with 100 extra permits for transporting goods to and from third countries, representing an increase of about 20% over the base quota, Caliber.Az reports.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, meanwhile, allocated 300 additional permits for bilateral, transit, and international transport — doubling the previously established limit.
The deputy minister noted that the new quotas will enable Ukrainian companies to perform more trips, establish stable logistics routes, and expand business operations.
Derkach stressed that expanding opportunities for freight carriers remains a government priority. The issuance of additional permits is viewed as an important step toward strengthening international cooperation and advancing Ukraine’s transport sector.
