Young parliamentarians gather in Uzbekistan for global conference VIDEO

The 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union has opened at the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex in Uzbekistan, Caliber.Az has reported the event, citing Uzbek media.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed the adoption, within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, of the Samarkand Resolution on Youth and Future Generations.

Nearly 250 young parliamentarians from 58 countries, along with representatives of international organisations, are attending the three-day conference, which focuses on restoring human rights, justice and dignity.

During the conference, participants will discuss a range of issues, including the protection of young people's rights in situations where conflicts emerge.
