Houthi rebels, government forces' clashes kill 81 fighters

Fighting between Yemen’s Houthi rebels and forces aligned with the internationally recognised government has killed at least 81 combatants since September 3, according to military officials and medical sources in areas controlled by the Houthis.

A military official on Yemen’s Red Sea coast told LBC 24 that government-aligned fighters were killed in clashes there, while another military source in the central Taiz region reported 15 additional deaths among government forces.

Medical sources in Houthi-controlled areas said at least 42 Houthi fighters were also killed in the fighting.
