Israeli forces say they dismantled 30 weapons-making machines near Nablus PHOTO

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its troops have completed a 48-hour counterterrorism operation in and around the northern West Bank city of Nablus, during which they dismantled more than 30 machines allegedly used to manufacture weapons.

The operation was conducted at the brigade level with guidance from Israel’s Shin Bet security agency, known as the Israel Security Agency (ISA), the IDF said, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the military, troops also confiscated concealed weapons, including firearms, handguns and ammunition.

During the operation, soldiers searched hundreds of locations, questioned dozens of suspects and detained more than 10 people who were wanted by Israeli authorities, the IDF said.

The military did not provide further details about the identities of those detained or specify which armed groups were allegedly connected to the weapons-production equipment.

“IDF soldiers will continue to operate proactively and offensively to thwart terrorism throughout Judea and Samaria, in order to safeguard the security of residents in the area and Israeli civilians,” the military said.
