Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan sign MoU on information security
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has announced that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of ICT.
A delegation from the Electronic Security Service under the ministry made an official visit to Kazakhstan on August 5-7, Caliber.Az reports citing the local media.
During this visit, the MoU on information security and cybersecurity was signed between Azerbaijan’s Electronic Security Service and the Information Security Committee under Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.
The memorandum outlines collaborative efforts between the two countries in the realm of information security, including the exchange of information and expertise.
Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have maintained a cooperative relationship across various sectors, reflecting shared interests and mutual benefits. The countries are significant oil and gas producers. They cooperate in the energy sector through joint ventures and projects. Both countries have expressed a commitment to increasing trade volume and investment. Key sectors include energy, transportation, and infrastructure.
Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan collaborate within various regional and international organizations, including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the United Nations. Their collaboration often focuses on regional security, economic development, and cultural exchange.
There is growing interest in boosting tourism between the two countries. Efforts are made to improve travel connections and promote cultural and historical attractions.
