Azerbaijan, China deepen strategic partnership with focus on economic cooperation
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with Lu Mei, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Azerbaijan, to discuss deepening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across key economic sectors.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the recent elevation of Azerbaijan-China relations to the level of a strategic partnership. Minister Jabbarov emphasised the importance of this development in strengthening mutual collaboration and fostering long-term economic engagement, Caliber.Az reports per Jabbarov's X post.

The discussions covered a wide range of issues on the bilateral economic cooperation agenda, including prospects for joint initiatives in trade, industry, investment, energy, transport, and the digital economy.
The two officials underscored their shared commitment to enhancing collaboration in these priority areas and identified opportunities to further facilitate economic integration between the two countries.
