Azerbaijan sends diesel fuel shipment to Armenia Updated
A total of 887 tonnes of diesel fuel were dispatched to Armenia from the Balajary railway station near Baku on April 11.
The shipment, consisting of 15 railway wagons, is headed toward the Büyük Kesik station and will reach Armenia via transit through Georgian territory, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Since December last year, Azerbaijan has exported 6,312 tonnes of diesel fuel (including the latest shipment), 979 tonnes of AI-92 petrol, and 2,955 tonnes of AI-95 petrol to Armenia.

Earlier, on March 5, Azerbaijan dispatched a new shipment of fuel and fertilisers to Armenia.
On February 25, a train carrying 39 tank cars with 4,500 tons of diesel fuel was sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Earlier, on January 11, another shipment included 18 wagons transporting 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline.
Before that, on January 9, Armenia received a total of 2,698 tons of petroleum products from Azerbaijan. The shipment included 1,742 tons of AI-95 gasoline and 956 tons of diesel fuel.
Fuel supplies from Azerbaijan to Armenia began on December 18, 2025, when 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline were delivered.
The transportation of such cargo resumed after restrictions on the transit of goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia—introduced during the period of occupation—were lifted. The decision to remove these restrictions was approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025.
