Russian wheat, propane train heads to Armenia via Azerbaijan PHOTO
Another freight train carrying Russian wheat and propane has departed for Armenia, transiting Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijan Railways.
The 10-car train left Bilajari station and is heading toward Boyuk Kasik station near Azerbaijan’s border with Georgia, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Nine cars are carrying 630 tons of wheat, while one car contains 36 tons of propane.
The latest shipment brings the total volume of goods transported from Russia to Armenia through Azerbaijan to more than 49,000 tons of grain, around 9,000 tons of fertilisers, 1,136 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminium, 1,114 tons of coal and 67 tons of timber.
Azerbaijan has also directly exported petroleum products to Armenia, including around 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and approximately 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline.
