Minister: Azerbaijan-Türkiye energy projects strengthen access to global markets
Turkish-Azerbaijani energy cooperation is helping facilitate access to regional and global markets, Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar has said at the fifth Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum in Baku.
He said relations between the two countries were based not only on good neighbourly ties but also on brotherhood and mutual trust, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“We do not regard this forum simply as a meeting between the energy sectors of the two countries,” Bayraktar said, describing it as a strategic platform for developing a shared future under the motto “One nation, two states”.
He said the forum aimed to turn that vision into concrete projects.
Energy is one of the most important and tangible areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Bayraktar said.
He cited joint projects involving natural gas and hydrocarbons, as well as pipelines that enable Azerbaijani energy resources to reach regional and global markets through Türkiye, as key examples of the countries’ cooperation.
