Media: Trump representatives’ Kyiv and Moscow visits put on hold
23 August 2026 17:38
The planned visits by US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to Kyiv and Moscow have been postponed for now, a source told TASS.
“The visit is unlikely to take place by the end of August,” the source said. “So, there are reasons for the postponement.”
The source had previously told TASS that Witkoff and Kushner could visit Kyiv and Moscow before the end of August.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was ready to receive Trump’s envoys once again, adding that the key question was what proposals they would bring to the Kremlin.
