Azerbaijan presents tourism products in Malaysia
Azerbaijan has showcased its tourism products in the PATA Travel Mart (PTM) 2026 international tourism exhibition in Kuching, Malaysia, according to the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency.
It said in a statement that the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and four local tourism industry partners participated in the events with a national pavilion promoting the country’s tourism opportunities and products, while holding business meetings with potential partners, Caliber.Az reports.
“The exhibition brought together companies operating in the leisure, luxury tourism and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) sectors. Participants from Europe, the CIS, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, East Asia, Africa and the Pacific included travel agencies, tour operators and other industry representatives. The meetings held during the exhibition focused on promoting Azerbaijan’s tourism products in various markets, establishing new partnerships and expanding existing business contacts,” the statement noted.
The Tourism Board and its partners also participated in the World Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo (WITEX 2026) in Kuala Lumpur.
Leading tourism companies and international market participants at the event discussed opportunities for cooperation in tourism within the Islamic economy, innovations in tourism software development, and establishing ties with local and international suppliers.
The event also featured discussions on the development of halal tourism, with companies sharing their travel experiences and various tourism products.
