Georgia increases fuel, lubricant imports from Azerbaijan
Georgia’s fuel and lubricant imports from Azerbaijan rose to $234.2 million in January-July 2026, 27% higher than in the same period last year.
Georgia's National Statistics Office said Azerbaijan ranked second among Georgia's suppliers of fuel and lubricants, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
In July alone, Georgia imported $26.2 million worth of the products from Azerbaijan, up 3.2% year on year.
Over the first seven months of 2026, Georgia's total imports of fuel and lubricants amounted to $1.592 billion, up 51.5% year on year.
During the reporting period, Georgia imported $740.4 million worth of the products from Russia, $150.7 million from Türkiye, $130.8 million from Romania and $56.6 million from Belarus.
In 2025, Georgia imported $1.6 billion worth of fuel and lubricants, including $145 million from Azerbaijan.
