bp wraps up Central Azeri turnaround early, ramps up production
bp has completed a planned maintenance programme, or turnaround (TAR), at the Central Azeri platform ahead of schedule, bp Azerbaijan, the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field development project, announced.
The program began on August 19 and was originally scheduled to last 11 days. All planned work has now been safely completed, with production currently being ramped up to pre-maintenance levels, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The maintenance program covered a range of activities, including critical integrity and maintenance works, flare system upgrades, reliability improvements and the elimination of identified anomalies.
It also included work supporting the Central Azeri Gas Expansion (CAGE) project, which is designed to increase the platform’s gas reinjection capacity and help maximize recovery from existing wells.
bp said such planned maintenance programs are essential for maintaining the long-term reliability, integrity and production performance of its facilities and are carried out regularly across BP-operated assets in the region.
