Azerbaijan Airlines, ABB introduce in-flight POS payments
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and ABB Bank have launched a new solution allowing passengers to pay for additional in-flight services using ABB POS terminals.
The new service enables passengers to quickly and securely pay by bank card for additional services offered during flights, Caliber.Az reports.
Where available, passengers can use the terminals to pay for a more comfortable seat in economy class or upgrade to business or premium economy directly on board.
The solution is another step in the national carrier's efforts to improve the passenger experience and advance digital transformation. Azerbaijan Airlines continues to expand the use of digital solutions across different stages of travel, making services more accessible and giving passengers greater choice.
For ABB Bank, the launch of in-flight POS payments marks another initiative aimed at developing solutions tailored to customers' everyday and travel needs. As part of its lifestyle banking strategy, the bank brings together various services on a single platform to meet customers' needs both in their daily lives and while travelling.
The new solution developed jointly by Azerbaijan Airlines and ABB Bank allows passengers to access and pay for additional services directly on board, further enhancing the customer experience.
