Azerbaijan’s sugar export revenues surge nearly threefold
Azerbaijan’s sugar export revenues reached $79.512 million in January-July 2026, rising 2.6 times year on year, while sugar exports nearly tripled to 126,885.59 tons, according to data from the State Customs Committee.
Sugar exports accounted for 0.41% of Azerbaijan’s total exports during the period, compared with 0.2% in January-July 2025, Caliber.Az reports.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan produced 266,900 tons of sugar in January-July, marking a 30.7% increase compared with the same period last year.
As of August 1, 2026, 8,400 tons of finished sugar products were held in warehouses.
Sugar beet production also recorded significant growth. By early August, 77,600 tons of sugar beet had been harvested from fields, more than double the amount recorded during the same period in 2025.
