SOCAR invites global innovators to test technologies in real operations
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has launched a new open innovation program offering startups, technology companies and innovators worldwide up to $20,000 to test their solutions in real-world energy operations.
The applications are being accepted under SOCAR’s “WIN” (What is Next) Open Innovation Program, which seeks to bring innovative ideas and advanced technologies into the energy sector, Caliber.Az reports, citing the company.
“The main goal of the project is to test, together with SOCAR specialists, technological solutions that optimize oil and gas operations and contribute to the energy transition, as well as to assess the possibilities for their implementation. The program covers areas such as energy transition and low-carbon technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics and digitalization, sustainable economy, operational excellence, as well as health, safety and environmental protection (HSE),” SOCAR said.
Applications will remain open until September 12, 2026, with the program welcoming participants from around the world.
Successful applicants will receive a testing budget of up to $20,000, allowing them to validate their technologies in a real operational environment while working directly with SOCAR specialists.
The initiative is designed to assess the practical applicability of emerging technologies and identify solutions that could improve oil and gas operations while supporting the broader energy transition.
