Azerbaijan, China deepen energy ties through new technical program PHOTO
A delegation of Azerbaijani energy sector specialists is participating in a two-week training and technical visit program in China aimed at strengthening energy cooperation between the two countries.
The program was organized by China Datang Corporation to facilitate the exchange of expertise in advanced energy technologies and strengthen professional ties between Azerbaijani and Chinese energy specialists, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Speaking via video at the opening ceremony, Azerbaijani Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov highlighted the importance of the program in further advancing Azerbaijan-China cooperation in the energy sector.
Li Deyong, Deputy General Manager of Datang Corporation, welcomed the Azerbaijani participants and wished them success throughout the program.
The training covers a range of advanced energy technologies, including wind and hydrogen power, modern energy storage systems such as compressed air energy storage (CAES), integrated wind-solar-storage solutions, high-efficiency gas turbines, conventional hydropower and pumped-storage hydropower.
The program also includes technical visits to major industrial and energy projects in Chengdu and Chongqing, where Azerbaijani specialists are gaining firsthand insight into the deployment, operation and integration of advanced energy technologies.
Representatives of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy, the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources, Azerenerji OJSC and Azerishiq OJSC are taking part in the program.
