Asian Development Bank boosts investment in Azerbaijan’s economy
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has financed 145 projects in Azerbaijan worth approximately $5.5 billion, the country’s Finance Ministry said.
Azerbaijan’s Finance Minister Sahil Babayev met with a delegation from the bank led by Leah Gutierrez, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The meeting focused on prospects for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and the ADB, particularly projects currently being implemented as well as those planned for future execution within the framework of the bank’s financial and technical support.
Babayev stated that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to its partnership with the ADB, which plays a key role in the country’s sustainable socio-economic development. A country partnership strategy for 2025–2029 has been developed in line with national development priorities between the two sides.
Key areas of cooperation include economic diversification, green development, support for the private sector, expanding business access to financing, and infrastructure development.
