11 April 2026 13:18
Trade between Azerbaijan and the United States totalled $78.24 million in January–February 2026, marking a 24.6% decline compared with the same period in 2025, according to the State Customs Committee.
Despite the overall contraction in bilateral turnover, Azerbaijani exports to the United States rose sharply, Caliber.Az reports.
Over the two-month period, exports increased by 55.8% year on year to $15.99 million. The share of exports in total trade doubled to 0.44%, up from 0.22% a year earlier.
By contrast, imports from the United States fell significantly, dropping 33.4% to $62.26 million. The import share in Azerbaijan’s total foreign trade edged up slightly to 2.4%, compared with 2.26% in the same period of 2025.
