Azerbaijan’s cargo vessel completes Japan–Australia cement delivery voyage Photo
The “Handysize” bulk carrier Khojaly, operated by the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, has successfully completed a long-haul voyage from Japan to Australia, delivering a shipment of cement.
According to ASCO’s press service, the vessel transported the cargo after loading it on March 22 at the port of Tsukumi in Japan and delivered it to its destination at the port of Kwinana in Australia, where unloading operations have now begun, Caliber.Az reports.

The ship’s voyage was confirmed by ASCO press service head Mehman Mehdiyev.

The Khojaly is a Handysize vessel with a deadweight capacity of 38,593 tons. It measures 180 metres in length, 30 metres in width, and has a draft of 10.47 metres, with a maximum speed of 15.7 knots. Designed for flexible operations, the vessel is capable of entering shallow-water ports thanks to its relatively low draft.
ASCO said the ship has unrestricted navigation capabilities, allowing it to operate across a wide range of international maritime routes.
