Azerbaijani PM discusses cooperation with Asian Development Bank
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with a delegation of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Board of Directors to discuss prospects for further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Baku and the ADB.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of the long-standing and mutually beneficial partnership, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers.
During the talks, officials highlighted the importance of joint projects in transport, energy, water supply, finance, education, healthcare and other sectors.
The parties noted that there are good opportunities to expand cooperation through public-private partnership mechanisms.
The Country Partnership Strategy for 2025–2029 was described as an important framework for a new stage of Azerbaijan-ADB cooperation.
The meeting also highlighted the alignment of new projects planned in energy, transport and water infrastructure with Azerbaijan’s long-term development priorities.
Azerbaijani Finance Minister Sahil Babayev also attended the meeting.
