Azerbaijan Railways reports sharp rise in grain transport volumes

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has significantly increased the volume of grain transportation.

As Caliber.Az reports, citing the company’s press service, in March 2026 Azerbaijan Railways transported 152,000 tons of grain and grain products, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period last year.

The volume of similar transit cargo amounted to 28,116 tons in March, up 27% compared to March 2025, including a 190% increase along the North–South corridor and a 3% rise on the north-western route.
