New transit shipment sent from Russia to Armenia through Azerbaijan

A new shipment of Russian cargo bound for Armenia has been transported through Azerbaijan as part of ongoing regional transit operations.

Azerbaijan Railways dispatched a train carrying 14 railcars loaded with 470 metric tons of propane and five railcars containing 339 metric tons of fertiliser from the Bilajari station toward the Beyuk-Kesik station near the Georgian border, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The shipment is expected to continue through Georgia before reaching Armenia.

Previous transit shipments through Azerbaijan have included more than 36,000 metric tons of grain, approximately 8,000 metric tons of fertiliser, 1,136 metric tons of propane, 133 metric tons of aluminum, and 414 metric tons of anthracite from Russia to Armenia.

In addition, Azerbaijan has exported more than 14,000 metric tons of diesel fuel and around 5,000 metric tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.

Russia will transport propane and fertilisers to Armenia via Azerbaijan, with 14 rail cars carrying propane and five loaded with fertilisers.

The freight is scheduled to depart from Bilajari station today, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Earlier this week, another train consisting of 30 wagons carrying a total of 1,026 tonnes of propane passed through Bilajari railway station en route to Armenia.
