The supreme audit institutions of Azerbaijan and Türkiye have discussed a plan to further expand cooperation, as part of a meeting between Metin Yener, President of Türkiye's Court of Accounts, and Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan's Chamber of Accounts.

Speaking at the meeting in Shamakhi, Gulmammadov said cooperation between the two institutions has been developing successfully and will continue, with new initiatives to strengthen ties receiving broad support, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

During the talks, the officials focused on joint initiatives in the digitalisation of public auditing.

The meeting also featured presentations on the results of parallel audits of the preferential trade agreement and higher education institutions.
