Azerbaijan's Economic Council reviews tourism development prospects
Azerbaijan's Economic Council, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, held a meeting on July 10 during which members reviewed tourism development prospects, the Cabinet of Ministers has said.
The first item on the agenda focused on the draft State Programme for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030, including tourism development prospects and key priority measures, Caliber.Az reports.
The council also reviewed the draft programme Development of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry: Current State and Prospects Through 2030, along with other current economic issues.
State Tourism Agency Chairman Fuad Naghiyev delivered a presentation on the tourism programme, while Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov presented the mining and metallurgy development plan. Members of the Economic Council and invited participants also addressed the meeting.
Following the discussions, the council decided to submit both draft state programmes to the President of Azerbaijan, while relevant institutions were given the necessary instructions for further action.
