UK removes Azerbaijani vessel Zangazur from sanctions list PHOTO
The United Kingdom has lifted sanctions imposed on the Azerbaijani-owned vessel Zangazur, as reported by local media citing a statement published by the UK government on July 7.
The statement said the oil tanker Zangazur had been removed from the UK sanctions list.
The vessel had previously been added to the list over allegations of “to destabilise Ukraine or undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine or to obtain a benefit from or support the Government of Russia.”
Earlier, the Council of the European Union decided to remove sanctions imposed on the vessel Zagatala, owned by Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), as well as the vessels Shusha, Karabakh, Khankendi, and Zangazur, owned by a joint venture between ASCO and SOCAR.
