Asian Development Bank explores cooperation opportunities with ASCO PHOTO

A delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has visited Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO) to discuss potential cooperation on fleet development, green shipping, and digital transformation projects.

During the meeting, ASCO representatives presented the company’s operational needs, strategic priorities, and medium- and long-term development plans, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The sides discussed efforts to create a more efficient and sustainable fleet capable of meeting modern maritime challenges. Talks also focused on future initiatives related to green shipping, decarbonisation, and the introduction of digital technologies.

ADB representatives welcomed ASCO’s development strategy and expressed readiness to support future projects in these areas.

Following the discussions, the delegation visited ASCO’s “Across Three Centuries” museum, where guests learned about Azerbaijan’s maritime history and shipping heritage.
