SOCAR, Uzbekneftegaz discuss expansion of bilateral energy cooperation PHOTO
A senior executive at Azerbaijan’s state energy company SOCAR held talks with the head of Uzbekistan’s national oil and gas company Uzbekneftegaz on April 9 to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.
SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova met with Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Abdugani Sanginov during a visit to Uzbekistan, where the sides reviewed the current state of collaboration and explored opportunities for further development, according to a statement, Caliber.Az reports via SOCAR.
The officials expressed satisfaction with the “dynamic” growth of ties between the two companies, which they said align with broader strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Talks also focused on progress in a joint geological exploration project in the Ustyurt region, as well as other areas of mutual interest, the statement added.
