Azerbaijan strengthens bilateral tourism ties with Belarus at international forum
Azerbaijan participated in the international Travel HUB Commonwealth forum, held from April 7 to 9 in Minsk, as part of efforts to boost tourism cooperation with Belarus.
The forum featured panel discussions on gastronomic and agritourism, as well as active and eco-tourism, with Azerbaijani representatives contributing prominently, according to the Azerbaijani State Tourism Agency (STA).
Adviser to the STA Chairman, Kanan Guluzade, and Jalal Ismayilov, Director of Azerbaijan’s official Tourism Bureau in Russia, took part in the sessions.
The agency stated that Azerbaijan’s tourism potential was showcased, highlighting its growing appeal as an all-year-round destination.
Presentations emphasised the country’s rich culinary heritage, agritourism opportunities, and nature-based travel.
Special attention was given to regional gastronomy, wine routes, and outdoor activities in the mountain regions.
The Azerbaijani delegation also met with Kirill Masharsky, Head of the National Tourism Agency (NTA) of Belarus, to explore ways for expanding cooperation between the two agencies, increasing bilateral tourist flows, and strengthening ties.
In addition, meetings were held with leading Belarusian tour operators to discuss the development of tourist exchanges and identify new opportunities for collaboration between the countries.
