Azerbaijan's anti-corruption reforms take center stage at UN gathering PHOTO
Azerbaijan has presented its anti-corruption reforms at a special session of the UN General Assembly, highlighting its methodologies and institutional advances in combating corruption.
Elnur Musayev, Head of the Department at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan, addressed the session in New York, which focused on preventing corruption, strengthening international cooperation, and improving global mechanisms for accountability, Caliber.Az reports.
Musayev delivered a presentation titled “Building Accurate Statistics for Next-Generation Corruption Analytics.”
Speaking on “Azerbaijan’s Experience: Improving Anti-Corruption Action Plans Through Risk Indicator Assessment,” Musayev outlined the reforms implemented in recent years and detailed the country’s evolving strategic approach.
He informed participants about Azerbaijan’s advanced practices, including the methodology for assessing the National Action Plan for Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption for 2022–2026. Musayev also emphasized the roles of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General in conducting risk assessments and shaping evidence-based policy planning.
The session brought together international experts and government representatives to exchange best practices aimed at enhancing global anti-corruption frameworks.
