The national parks of Azerbaijan welcomed a total of 3,540 tourists, indicating a significant influx of visitors eager to explore the country's rich natural landscapes during the Novruz Bayram holidays.
Arzu Babayeva, a representative of the Service for the Protection of Biological Diversity of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, shared this information with Caliber.Az, highlighting the mass attendance of citizens to revel in the splendour of the wild outdoors.
Babayeva noted that the number of tourists continues to rise steadily, with four national parks emerging as the most popular destinations: Goygol, Shahdag, Shirvan, and Absheron. These parks boast a total of 116 eco-tourism routes, offering visitors diverse opportunities to immerse themselves in Azerbaijan's natural beauty and biodiversity.
The surge in tourist footfall during the Novruz Bayram holidays underscores the growing interest in eco-tourism and outdoor recreation in Azerbaijan, positioning the country as an attractive destination for nature enthusiasts seeking memorable experiences amidst breathtaking landscapes.
