Azerbaijan’s SOCAR, Yokogawa Europe explore new energy cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR) has held a high-level meeting with representatives of Yokogawa Europe B.V., signalling potential expansion of cooperation in the energy sector.
The meeting brought together Seita Hagihara, President of Yokogawa Europe B.V., Vice President of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, and Regional Chief Executive Officer for Europe, Russia, and the CIS, along with SOCAR Vice Presidents Anar Mammadov and Babek Huseynov, Caliber.Az reports via SOCAR.
Officials expressed satisfaction with progress made following the agreements reached at the 12th Joint Meeting of the State Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan, held in September 2025.
During discussions, the two sides reviewed areas of mutual interest across the energy sector, including potential joint activities in both upstream and downstream operations.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, designed to explore and expand cooperation opportunities between SOCAR and Yokogawa Europe B.V.
