Azerbaijan thwarts smuggling of over 18 kg of drugs from Iran PHOTO

The Azerbaijani border guards prevented the smuggling of drugs from Iran on the service territory of the border outpost near Govuzbulag village of Jalilabad district of the Goytepe border detachment of the Azerbaijani State Border Service on November 17 at about 23:00 (GMT+4).

Some 18 kilogrammes and 710 grammes of drugs, namely, 18 kilogrammes 300 grammes of marijuana, 150 grammes of methamphetamine, 260 grammes of heroin, and 3,607 Methadone M-40 tablets were revealed and seized as a result of the measures. The investigation is underway, the State Border Service told Caliber.Az.
