Azerbaijan opens trial for citizen on treason charges

The trial of Azerbaijani citizen Ivan Nikolayevich Svetlichny, who was arrested as part of an investigation by the State Security Service, has begun.

He faces charges under Article 274 of the Criminal Code (treason), Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The case will be heard in the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, chaired by Judge Aygun Gurbanova.
