Azerbaijan to strengthen position in European market, OTS official says
Azerbaijan is set to secure its place in the European market in the short and medium term, Balazs Hendrich, Executive Director of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Hungary, said at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) in Baku.
Speaking on the second day of the event, Hendrich highlighted the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor, noting that “if the Middle Corridor is truly recognized as an opportunity, it will transform into a tangible advantage,” Caliber.Az reports per domestic media.
He also drew attention to global water challenges, stressing that agriculture consumes the majority of the world’s water resources.
“This immediately brings water management to the forefront. Water is often not just a national issue but a regional one. Rivers cross borders, which makes water diplomacy extremely important,” he said.
Hendrich further underlined the significance of water resource management for landlocked countries.
“For landlocked countries like Hungary, efficient water resource management is of vital importance. We must find the most suitable solutions to fully utilize our water and agricultural potential. For this, cooperation with technology providers and innovators is essential,” he added.
