Azerbaijan, Türkiye discuss prospects of co-op on legal assessment of mine threat PHOTO

First Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Bahruz Mammadov met with Chairman of the Turkish Institute for Human Rights and Equality (TIHEK) Muharrem Kılıç, Report says, citing ANAMA.

Mammadov spoke about the mine threat in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, achievements, and work done in the field of demining. He noted that mines contaminated not only the former line of contact but also other territories, including settlements, which is a crime against humanity.

The sides also discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in combating the mine threat and prospects for cooperation on the legal assessment of the situation with the mine contamination of Azerbaijani territories.
