Azerbaijan, Türkiye mull regional security issues

Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov has hosted a delegation from the Turkish Army’s Land Forces Command led by Lieutenant General Tuncay Altuğ, who is on a visit to the country.

During the meeting, Zakir Hasanov emphasized that due to the strong personal relations between the leaders of both nations, military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye has evolved into a strategic alliance, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence told Caliber.Az.

Lieutenant-General Tuncay Altuğ pointed out the discussions held during his visit.

The sides underscored the significance of experience exchange, joint exercises, and reciprocal visits in further strengthening military cooperation.

Regional security issues and several other topics were also discussed at the meeting.
